4 Tips for Healthy Skin

Sometimes even though you are using all the right products, you feel that there is even more that you could do to improve your complexion. What you eat (or don't eat) have a tremendous effect on the condition on your skin. We wanted to share some tips on what to add to your diet to achieve even more glowing, young-looking and healthy skin.


Drink more!

The most important thing for maintaining healthy-looking skin is to remember to hydrate. Drink water or herbal teas to keep hydrated.


Healthy fats

Omega-3 is super vital to your skin. It fights the infections on your skin and gives lots of benefits to your complexion by supporting the health of the cell membranes. Good sources of edible fatty acids include nuts and seeds, oily fish and avocado.


Remember your five-a-day

Eating loads of vegetables, fruit and berries will guarantee a necessary supply of vitamins and minerals. Eat lots of orange and red vegetables as they contain vitamin A that helps to maintain an even skin tone and healthy skin colour. Take some citric fruit as a snack as vitamin C helps the production of collagen and fights the early signs of ageing. Vitamin E is an important antioxidant that protects cell membranes and intensifies the effect of vitamin C. Good sources include hazelnuts, almond and dark green vegetables such as kale or spinach.


Apple cider vinegar

Your skin might also be reacting to digestive problems. Try drinking apple cider vinegar (you can mix it with water, too) in the evening before going to sleep to ease the digestion and help to balance acid levels. If the acid levels are unbalanced, vitamins and minerals don't absorb as well as they should.
