Winter Solstice Rescue!
It's winter Solstice today, the longest night of the year. It's the perfect time to stop and reflect the past and start setting your intentions for the next year. As we love all skin and self-care, we'd like to invite you to take a closer look at your self-care routines. Have you got enough rest, are you eating well enough? Are you prioritising your own wellbeing - whatever that might mean to you?
We love this time of the year and have obviously decided to prioritise skincare next year and why not start right away? We began with rest - it's been easy as the short days encourage you to stay in and go to bed early. Good sleep reduces stress and makes your face look well-rested and younger. Not to mention the dark circles under the eyes, they have started to fade away, and skin looks brighter, too.
You should never undermine the effect of pampering either, both body and soul. It's something that protects your skin from the winter weather but also gives you something more - relaxes and soothes your mind too.
In the evenings, we've been using body butter from Hetkinen. It's genuinely an indulging experience starting with the exquisite packaging and fantastic scent. If you have any drier spots on your skin, don't worry! Arctic Rescue Balm from Flow will do what it promises - it will rescue your skin as a proper multi-purpose balm should. For your face, we'd highly recommend adding serums at least during the winter months. Flow has an excellent Probiotics and Hyaluron Serum that will not only hydrate your skin but also calm any irritations and treat impurities.
Do you have any traditions for Winter Solstice? How do you plan to meet the longest night of the year? Have you set your intentions for the new year already?
